Janison offers a range of assessments to students including ICAS, Reach and Scout.
We are seeking casual markers for our ICAS and Reach Writing assessments. Markers will be required to attend online training sessions and to be present for the length of the marking project. They are responsible for using their literacy knowledge and understanding of student achievement standards to apply the marking criteria accurately and reliably. Markers will mark using an online system and work from home.
Applicants who meet the criteria will be included in our marker database and will be invited to apply for specific marking projects.
Duties are to
- undertake training according to Janison’s procedures and instructions
- accurately and reliably apply the marking criteria to assess student work
- undertake additional training if required
- maintain the security and confidentiality of all assessment information and materials.
To be successful in this position, you must have demonstrated teaching experience and an understanding of student performance in literacy at the primary or secondary years of schooling. You will be able to work independently in an online environment from home. If you also have experience marking a criterion-referenced assessment (e.g. NAPLAN), we would love to have you on board.
